I see things a little differently from where I sit most days when I'm getting together with the guys. And that's not just because I'm usually tucked away on a subpar riser that you'd find in a High School Gymnasium...I mean, I get to see the whole show from a totally different perspective. I am always watching for the random fangirls drooling over my fellow homies shredding solos and looking rad in their tight pants and power stances.
But I digress. Completely random thought of the day: How does one get a cult following like Pearl Jam or The Grateful Dead? I love Vedder and the guys, but man! Those Dead Heads are delirious. The Grateful Dead is terrible. I will not make any apologies about that. Brutal band. I'd sleep like a rock if I ever ended up at a concert.
But seriously... I was just talking with some friends about how cool that'd be. Could you imagine following your favourite band like it was your job, supporting them and going nuts every night while they wowed the rest of the unsuspecting crowd.
I want to achieve fan loyalty like that. That's what success would feel like, boss. When you're doing something that people really attach to and you know that you have an actual positive impact on their lives. That's why I do this.
And in case you wanna get into it and be one of those fangirls for us.. we'll be playing at the end of January. New line up, new songs, new reason to show up every night.
Ready if you are. I'll leave you with this...Check the view:
Ciao for now
